About Course
This comprehensive combo course takes you from absolute beginner (A1) to the elementary level (A2) in German. You will establish a solid understanding of basic German grammar, build essential vocabulary for everyday situations, and develop your fundamental communication skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing. By the end of this course, you will be able to understand and use familiar everyday expressions and very basic phrases aimed at the satisfaction of needs of a concrete type, introduce yourself and others and can ask and answer questions about personal details such as where you live, people you know and things you have (A1). You will also be able to understand sentences and frequently used expressions related to areas of most immediate relevance (e.g. very basic personal and family information, shopping, local geography, employment), communicate in simple and routine tasks requiring a direct exchange of information on familiar and routine matters, and describe in simple terms aspects of your background, immediate environment and matters in areas of immediate need (A2). This course provides a seamless transition from basic survival German to being able to handle simple, routine interactions.
